Residential care is often chosen by older people and their families when it becomes increasingly difficult to manage at home without additional help and support. Perhaps they are finding it difficult to live in their own home through reasons of reduced mobility or illness. Maybe they no longer want to live alone.

We understand our residents have given up a great deal of their independence when they become part of a communal group residing in a residential home. We encourage all our residents to take every opportunity to think and act for themselves, being able to continue with normal daily living and activities.

At OakRay Care it is important to us that you move into a comfortable, friendly environment that gives you a feeling of reassurance, and maintains the standard of living you have been used to. Everything needs to be fresh-smelling, homely and inviting, from the living space to courtyard or garden. It is also important to ensure the home provides the level of care you or your loved one needs, or may need sometime in the future. We pride ourselves on being able to offer all these special amenities, and much more!

All residents are taken through our assessment and care planning process to create a Care Plan. This is tailored to their specific needs, preferences, interests and abilities. It is constantly monitored and updated so that as care needs evolve residents and their families can be sure they are receiving the most appropriate care.

We encourage friends and family to visit as often as they can and everyone is of course invited to come along to the parties and events we regularly hold for the residents.
