We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Cook to join our friendly, supportive team at our Ryde care home.
Fairhaven Care Home provides high quality residential and dementia care services for up to 21 elderly residents, and has a CQC rating of Good.
We are looking for a knowledgeable and passionate Cook, who can prepare and serve healthy, traditional home cooked meals for our residents. Can you make a tasty Shepherd’s pie?
Previous experience working as a Cook within an elderly care home environment is desirable.
A thorough understanding of food safety is crucial, and you should be able to complete the appropriate catering paperwork, and have up to date food hygiene qualifications.
A competitive wage is offered which will be discussed at the interview. This is a part-time position of 24 hours a week, 7am-3pm, which includes working every other weekend. Hours would be flexible to fit in with the needs of the home. The successful applicant should also be available to cover sickness and annual leave.
